Puppets, Not People

Having experienced the Orlando puppet festival this year, I now take puppetry seriously and will choose that before frustrating with animation. I'm patient, but not that patient for cell, digital, or stop motion animation. Puppets, however... they move... you got your shot! Next shot!

Alas, this requires more storyboarding, preplanning and construction than just getting actors together.
But that's half the charm.

It's a threat, not a promise. The threat is this: if a cast fails me, I'll resort to puppets. Puppets, not people. Puppets can do things people can't. Won't. Do, but don't on camera. Actors make movies fun as a process. Alas, actors are people. People don't always take the simplest path in their personal or creative lives. And more on point, everyone's busy. Schedules are difficult to match. What can you do? Set your own schedule. If no one can meet it, then you go to puppets!
